My Vehicle: 2017 Crosstrek Premium Dark Grey
Red face Looking for best cross bars and kayak mount

Hi Everyone. I just bought a brand new 2017 crosstrek, and I love it. I am looking to purchase a set of cross bars and a kayak mount. What are the best cross bars for my money? And that would fit a kayak mount? What are peoples favorite kayak mounts and why? THANKS!!

I unfortunately do not have experience with kayak mounts, but I can say with confidence that the Thule Aeroblade Edge aero cross bars are very rigid bars that I would recommend for anyone looking for a sturdy set of aero bars. Unlike the Subaru optional aero bars, these do not flex excessively.

I have a set of the Thule aeroblades, they are top notch, very solid construction... but expensive also. make sure you order a larger blade for the rear and more narrow for the front. They installed in about 15 minutes, I have the crystal white finish and the black trim on the aeroblades match my Crosstrek nicely (id upload a pic, but I'm not sure how)
I did a lot of research before hand, the aeroblades allow you to open your sunroof and as long as you position the front blade behind your sunroof the whistle is acceptable.
