Default 2018 18" wheel offset ?

Hi I'm going to be looking soon for steel rims for my brand new baby.

Just wondering what 18 inch steel rims fit and where can I get ones with the correct wheel offset.

I'm likely to consider yokohama ice guards again as the last ones worked so well and never seemed to wear out.

Thanks in advance.

I only know that the overwhelming majority of Subaru vehicles have a +48, +53, or +55 offset.

Newer Subaru models seem to have a +48 offset as the standard.

Well I can't edit the last post. But I took off one of my 18 inch STi wheels and it was marked 55. So I think me saying 48 might be wrong. Not sure about the wheels that are stock though.

Both the 17 and 18" OEM wheels are +55.

My steel rims are 48 so they are 1/4 inch proud of stock
Iím not sure about wether the geometry is disturbed.
But I know its driving straight and tracking predictably.
I guess I run a greater probablilaty of stone chips.
On the other hand the wheels and tire protruding to the max looks great.

Hope I am not adding to the confusion. But when I did my research for wheels and tires for my 2017 it turned out the OEM off-set was 48mm. I was curious so I looked up 2017 again and confirmed 48mm. While I was at it I checked 2018 - looks like the 18" wheels are 55mm off-set

No your not confusing anything. The 2018 model years offset is +55 on both the 17" and 18" rims. Prior years were +48. That does however raise why?
