ALTIMAX ARCTIC 12 225/60/17 103T long term
OK well not exactly long term but I have put about 5000 km on them so far.
I have driven in highway snow storm conditions more times than I care to remember this year. In the most extreme winter storms I have driven safely.
The hardest thing I had to adjust to was the plain mediocrity of others who were not so adequately prepared.
I'm extremely happy with the Generals. They are decently quiet and completely free from vibration at speed. So if for instance we have a winter and it doesn't snow I'm covered.
The 17 inch wheels with greater rubber than the 18's cushion almost anything and I never have had to swerve to avoid potholes.
They are solid highway tires and they can handle deep snow. Terrific
PS : the steel rims (17x7.0 5x100mm +48 56.1mm SIL(EUROPEAN MADE)
48 mm offset didn't present a problem in handling or splashing the side of the car. They are not proud.
