Recently upgraded my 2014 Limited Crosstrek to the 2018 Limited. Very happy with the upgrade so far except yesterday I noticed a light blue mark on one of the wheels. After a closer look there's a mark on all four.
I tried to rub it off but it seems like the wheel might be chipped.
Have messaged the dealership to see what they say but curious if anyone else has seen this. My 2014 never had this problem in all it's miles on the road. Haven't driven the 2018 in an conditions that I'd think could cause something like this.
Those were on my 2017 on all 4 wheels when I rolled out of the dealer, I believe it's factory. If you ever go under the car, you will notice those marks on all of the bolts. I believe it's for the final inspection from the dealer before the car is sold, no biggie, it's probably a paint marker, not a chip.
That's a toughie, I would say paint thinner but it will probably ruin the finish of your wheels, I would definitely wait to contact your dealer, that way they will be able to cover it if there is any damage to the wheels. I currently have my wheels plasti dipped the "Subaru gold" so I haven't had to look at it.
