Default SF Bay Area chat thread

I know we already sort of have a Bay Area thread, but I might as well start an official thread since it seems there's enough XV owners here for some chatting...

I'll start off by sharing my bike ride... (2013 TREK 8.4 DS)

Pictures of a bike ride I did a couple days ago, about 3000 calories burned, possibly in excess of 40 miles pedaled. Varied between San Jose all the way to Newark in the east of the San Francisco Bay.

album: (avoid looking at the 2nd picture, I took it for ****s and giggles)

Sweet Trek. My main MTB is a Specialized FSR. I have a Trek STP 400. But it lacks a crank set right now and tires and gears.

Headlights
2 X Light and Motion Urban 550 headlights (used only during low visibility conditions)
1 X Knog Skink white headlight (daytime running light/backup)

Taillights
1 X CatEye TL-LD610 taillight (used only during ultra-low visibility conditions)
1 X Knog Skink red taillight (normal day/night light)

Both the Urban 550's running on maximum brightness are more than enough for competition use (1100 lumens!). They're EXCELLENT commuter lights, and the amber side-markers can double as a way for you to read your shifters' position.

Thanks. Your picture made those Urban 550's look very bright. I'll have to look into those.

I'm up the peninsula in Pacifica. I see a few XVs on the road. More and more in the past couple of months.
