Default Bought a 2014 and Joined the Board

Hello Hello,
I bought a 2014 CrossTrek a little over 2-weeks ago and am VERY happy with the car. Unfortunately, there is already a bumper "ding"! Anyone know how to fix this other than a new bumper? HELP! I'll attach or email a pic as needed.

Hey Bradt - Thanks for the reply. I sure hope I don't have to replace the entire bumper. If it was in a center area I could possibly use a bumper sticker, but not were it is. UGH!

There does not appear to be structural damage (dents or cracks). Purely cosmetic. I think you can clean that up really well and then go look for touch paint that will match it. If you do it right, only you will know, others may never notice it.

I am sorry that it happened. Specially after only two weeks. I would not replace the bumper.

You could try plasti-dipping the black(dark grey) portion of the rear bumper.

Hi Everyone -
While the pic does not show it well, the spot is really gouged. Went to the dealer ship today and they sent me to a guy who fixes their plastic bumper blemishes. He said he could get it close, but it would be hard to match the texture. The gouge would be gone and the color would match though.
I also bought this - http://www.ebay.com/itm/111150417056...84.m1497.l2649

Not sure if it will help.
