Default Greetings from Central New York

Introducing the latest newbie from Cazenovia, NY, about 15 miles southeast of Syracuse.

The Crosstrek is my fifth Subaru having owned a Legacy Brighton, Legacy wagon, Outback, Outback Sport and now the Crosstrek. I wonder away from Subaru from time to time, but always seem to return for the quality and the enjoyment I get from their products.

I traded a Wrangler for the Crosstrek. You really need either 4-wheel or all wheel drive up here because we average 125 inches of snow annually. I've only gotten my Subarus stuck twice. ...not the cars' fault as all four wheels were off the ground.

I find the Crosstrek fun and economical to drive. Thank you for starting a Crosstrek website. I intend to have many miles and many adventures in the Crosstrek.

Welcome!

I bought my first Subie (1994 Legacy wagon) and second (2000 Impreza wagon) while living in Ithaca. Upstate can be brutal in the winter.

Lots of great folks here with tons of helpful info/advice.

Welcome to the site, Loanstar. The Crosstrek sounds like it will prove to be an essential need where you are. I don't see many of the blue Crosstreks on the forum or in real life, so if you have any pics we would love to see them!

Thank you for joining.

Welcome to a fellow CNYer! I split my time between Syracuse and Skaneateles. I'm looking forward to driving my XV in our winters! I got mine at the end of February this year, and we didn't have much wintery weather to speak of after that point (at least nothing that required a snow brush, let alone AWD).
