14 pc. XV non slip cup holder door pocket mats... Mystery piece

Anyone have them? I know Avimia does. There one piece about 1X3 inches that I can't find a place for. Anybody know? They must had made it for somewhere.

Yep.. sure do and I love them. I had that "mystery" piece too. I don't know where it goes. Every cubby I have is covered, front and back. I could swear I saw a photo of an XV from overseas somewhere and it had a little bit different door console (I want to say on the front passenger side), where it had this one extra cubby. Maybe that's what it was for.

Or.. I was dreaming in "XV" and was determined to find a place to put thing. Ha!

Yeah - I got the "extra" as well. I cut it down to fit in the small front cubby hole in front of the drink holders.

I even tried the gas cover release well but it's a tad too large for that. No big deal though, just a mystery.

I found it! I *knew* I had seen that "mystery" compartment on an XV before! (Hey.. maybe Granny's memory ain't so bad after all). LOL

I think it's on non-US models-front passenger door side. They don't seem to have the door lock button (or maybe its an upgrade for them).

So here's some comparison shots:

1.) Shot of my car - front passenger door. All it has is the cubby, the door lock and the window button.

2.) Shot of Scoob's car (he's in OZ... thank you Scoob!) - front passenger door. Notice that car doesn't have the door lock button. So that's the "missing" compartment.

Such a simple idea that just works! These things are great.

What's really funny is, though here we don't have that "empty" compartment, so we end up with a left over piece.. what they do *not* provide is mats for the cup holders in the back seat pull-down arm rest! They must have missed those... Heck.. I did. I didn't even realize the XV had those until this weekend. Ha!

No, thought about it but I have a black interior and decide to add red accents. Sewed on my black leather steering wheel cover that has red stitching and waiting for my shifter knob cover that will go with it. I made a leather hand break cover and sewed the same pattern stitch in red also. I had leather seats installed by the dealer. That and the red dash lights makes it all look nicer than the limited. I bought some red door edge guard thinking I could put it on the rear pockets of the front seats but that didn't work out. Seams are too thick for it.

We have the luminous ones..they do glow in the dark but I rarely drive at night!lol But I like the white look during the day.

Avimia the limited is the only ones that have the pull down cup holder/armrest....that was the main reason we got the limited, so my son would have somewhere for his drink!lol
