Default 2016 Crosstrek Premium-speakers

Are the speakers used in the limited and premium trims the same? I had a 2016 limited model for a loaner for a week and the sound was a step up from what I have in my 2011 Forester. I purchased a premium model because I can do without leather and the navigation system.

Looks like all the Crosstreks use the same speakers. Here's just a sample of a 2016 Subaru Crosstrek Limited from parts.subaru.com

2016 Subaru XV Crosstrek Limited 2.0L CVT. #86301FG012: SPEAKER-DOOR FRONT LEFT. FOSTER

So if anything, its probably the headunit that made the difference. However, I have very little experience with automotive audio.

You can get Kicker speakers as a dealer, or factory if you order, installed accessory. The door speakers and two tweeters in the dash can both be replaced. You can also get a subwoofer, but it will take up space in the cargo area.

I had these speakers, minus the subwoofer, installed. They work nice but can get a little pricey.

Thanks, AWDfreak, wanted to see if the limited had anything over the premium in the way of sound "out of the box."

I believe all models use the same speakers. Any differences would be in the head unit.
