Default What are these?

Can anyone tell me what these bungies are for? They are on the back seats. I just noticed them.

Plastic seat back protectors. Kind of an odd method to hold them in place, but you stop noticing them after a while.

I don't mean the holes. I have owned enough cars with head rests. I know what those are. I took the head rests out myself. I mean THE BUNGIES!

Boy do I feel dumb. After closer look with the seats down, I see exactly what you mean. I guess sometimes all it takes is a stupid question and a closer examination. Thanks for your understanding.

I was stumped for a good 12 months or so regarding the bungies on the rear seatback protectors until I realized... they helped secure the seatback protectors.

You definitely aren't the only one who was stumped by them.
