My mom recently got a windscreen crack from a rock after a month of owning the car so we contacted Subaru and they said it is not covered under warranty (we were questioning the quality) so we emailed them again. This time we referenced my old boss who had the same thing happen to him. They called and said to have him call customer care and get it documented through them. It seems they are now looking into this and if they find enough are cracking and chipping so easily they will declare it as a defect (thus everyone with a chipped or cracked windscreen will get a new one). So I call on everyone that has a chipped or cracked windscreen from regular driving conditions to call Subaru Customer Care.
