Default 18 crosstrek brakes

My 18 just had the rear brakes replaced at 31000 miles
Anyone else have this problem?

I just did the rear pads and rotors on my '16 with just 25k miles on it.The pads are tiny.I will be looking to upgrade to bigger rear brakes when these wear out. There must be something better out there that will fit this car.

I've got 73K miles on the original pads/rotors -- which is a record for any car I've ever owned. I live in the SW Colorado mtns, but I do use the heck out of the paddle shifters. The local dealer says that's a key to stretching brake life.

I also use the paddle shifters to decelerate before I use the brakes

On my last Impreza (and these brakes are better).
I did pads at 60 k km. I refused turning the rotors. At 120 k km I had rotors and pads changed.
I would never recommend turning warped rotors, as the warp remains in the grain of the metal. They will re warp almost immediately.

I remember the cost to me at the dealership was 800 Canadian including tax.

Changed the rears @ 75K and the fronts @ 98K just because. Still had 25% left on the pads. Rarely use the paddles so as to not stress the trans. Best brakes ever.
