Guys, what headlight bulbs does everybody use? I wanted to get some of the Osram Nightbreakers but I think they only come as the bulbs and not the bulb holder also...if that makes sense? I’m looking for bulbs that are brighter, whiter and that offer a longer down-road beam. I know about the Sylvania Ultra’s and have those in my Jeep...but can anyone make any other recommendations? Thanks! 🙂👍🏼

I put in the Diode Dynamics LED bulbs a couple months ago. I don't think they project quite as far as advertised. But otherwise seem good. The install can be tricky.

I like the whiteness and the brightness. I don't think they project as far as was advertised. And they are a tough install, and expensive. Overall improvement. But not certain at the cost.

Define difficult? When I took the front bumper off to install a RV tow harness to the front of my crosstrek the headlight assemblies were easy to remove. I realize they are expensive, but I'm guessing they'll last at least that much longer than a halogen will... I'd like to do the fog lights too.

I changed mine out soon after I purchased the car. I couldn't take the yellow halogen light. These have been great.

I couldn't take off the headlight assemblies. So you're up one on me. I have taken off the bumper and replaced the grill and horns.

The DD headlights have a connector which fits more than 1 model car. And so they aren't perfect for fitting the Subaru. There is a ring around them which has to be adjusted to the correct angle to have the light match the pattern of the factory bulb. If you don't do that, then your light pattern is all wrong. Remember that headlights work with the reflector in the housing, not just the bulb itself.

Other than that, it is a bit of a struggle to get the bulb into the housing socket. It's not terrible, but it's a bit of work.

The DD foglamps, they fit into the light socket great. But the plug to the electrical circuit, that was a very hard fit, and I had to put some real muscle into it.
