Default Idle Shake

Hey guys,
I recently have been feeling my car shake when I'm sitting idle at either a drive thru or just at a light. Its brief and kinda feels like my car is going to die but is trying to stay on. There's no actual sound when it shakes, it just shakes.

Any ideas as to what it could be?

Start with the simple stuff
A tank full of top tier gasoline.
Check or replace the air filter.

ECU reset.

If the car has higher mileage, it may be time for (tune up) spark plugs and fuel filter.

Do you have the AC on? When the compressor kicks on or off the car can shake a bit. Open a window and you should hear a click when it kicks on/off.

If the air conditioning and/or defroster is on, the AC does indeed cycle the compressor and the shaking, once in a while, seem odd but I generally consider it normal since air conditioning systems normally cycle on and off to prevent freezing and damage of certain refrigeration components.

If it continues to bother you, consider bringing it to a local dealer or an independent Subaru shop for a diagnosis.
