Default Alpine GPS

Today I ordered an Alpine INE W970BT with a KTP445 power pack (it doubles the output power).
Going to upgrade the speakers to CDT units as well, and have the doors damped.

The installer will try to put the BT mic in place of the original, and will look for the most unobtrusive place for the GPS antenna.
I like the interior to be as uncluttered as possible.

I'll order adaptors from Incartec UK. They've assured me I'll retain all steering wheel controls.

Hi Sancho, I have a Pioneer head unit with the Alpine PDX-V9 amp and use the "PAC SWI-RC" module which retained all my steering wheel controls. Your head unit is a double din, can it play DVD's? If so, is your installer going to wire in the bypass enable movies to be played while driving?

It does play DVD, yes.
I'm not going to ask about bypassing that safety, as I have no intention to watch a DVD while driving, or at all, really :-\
I ordered the Alpine because I want great sound quality for music and the added comfort of having a GPS hardwired into the car.

Well it certainly sounds like a cool project and Alpine makes great stuff.

I may or may not add a sub later, but not sure. I can't afford to loose space in the trunk, and all those other solutions like underseat subs probably won't cut it.
I'll be sure to post pics when it's installed come June.

I agree, I don't like any of the other Sub enclosures either. Once it gets warmer near me, I plan to fiberglass a 10" shallow sub in the back corner. Apparently Kicker makes a CompRt(Which is what I'll use) and Alpine makes one too, that would match my setup. The Alpine is very expensive though.

I'll post pics of the process.
