Default Bluetooth with Samsung galaxy s3

My phone doesn't automatically connect for music when I turn on the car. It will show the car and my phone as being paired however, I have to click on the device each time to allow it to connect for media. Also every time the car turns off you have to do that step again. My old iPhone 4 automatically connected for music and phone each time .its kinda annoying

I don't know if this is exactly the same but should be similar. For my Galaxy Nexus, I go to settings --> bluetooth --> paired devices (XV Crosstrek or whatever you named it) settings --> check the media audio box

Mine will autoplay everytime, so I turned it off because I only use it for answering calls.

Yeah... I think that you can use it for one or the other, but not both at the same time (unless you use BT for the phone and 3.5mm jack for player ). The phone connection may override the media connection since it's actually a phone by default and not a primary media device.
