All our ither cars have a built in Sirus/XM, but to get it in the XV you have to get the nav system which I didn't want. Went to Wally Mart and got a SirusXM Onyx system for $60 bucks. Simple 3 wire hook up and I'm all set. Took all of 20 minutes.

Looks nice and clean, Grumpaw. Do the wires run inside the dash or on the exterior? Is it powered via the cig lighter?

Power from the power port in the cubbyhole. The wire you see is the aux wire running to the aux port in the console. I have to pull the console up to run it under. Antenna wire runs under the dash and up the right side of the dash tucked in where the piller and the dash meet. Ant in inside, up on the extream right side of the dash next to the speaker grill. Hate having to run it outside onto the roof. Did that once before and the ant wire running up to the roof looked like an afterthought.
When I get around to it I'll drill a hole in the back of the dash cubbyhole and run all the extra wire behind it.

If you already have a Sirius/XM subscription on another car, it's easier just to use your smartphone and the Sirius/XM app. You only pay $3.95 a month and you don't need to buy another expensive subscription. Works fine with my iPhone over Bluetooth.

Good to know. I have the Nav, so its not an issue with mine. I am debating whether or not to actually start paying for XM... my trial ends in about two weeks.

I debated as well. But I found come core stations that I really enjoy having. I love to listen to Cards baseballs games, which has been difficult since I haven't lived in stl for over 20 years now. In the end, I got the all access. I can listen to Sirius in my home, office, etc. It's actually nice.

Oh, and my wife loves the Grateful Dead station.
