Default Under Seat Subwoofer?

Has anyone tried to shoehorn a subwoofer under one of the front seats, yet? How much space is available in this location?

let me know if you do this, I just got rid of my subwoofers because they were in a box too big for my car, I'm looking into getting a tube or slim fit box to maximize the space I have in my rear hatch while still getting that bass I miss.

I'm definitely going to do it. The only questions are whether or not the stuff I already own is going to fit... and when the weather will get warm enough for me to feel like tearing into it...

Look on subaruxvforum.com - there was a recent posting on DIY underseat subwoofer by one of the mods there.

I fitted one under the seat when I was talking about installing my audio upgrades.
Can't remember if it was the Kicker or Ground Zero unit, but it fit perfectly under the passenger's seat.
I'm still considering including it, but I've been told it doesn't make that big a difference.

Kicker makes one specifically built to fit underseat of the XV.

I went another route. A shallow 12 in the sparetire well works wonderfully.

Do you by chance have a link for this? I can't find anything on the website.
