Have a 2017 XV Premium. This happens often when it is driven for more than 20 to 30 minutes. Sometimes, whether tried immediately or after 10 to 15 minutes, it will restart fine. More and more frequently, however, it will not start and has to be allowed to sit for up to four hours before it will start again.

There is an audible click from the starter solenoid when the key is turned but the engine does not turn over at all. There are no OBD codes. Just replaced the battery tonight (tried to start immediately afterwards but nothing). It seems like I have to wait a shorter time the colder it is outside. I'm out of ideas.

Dead spot on the started motors armature? I used to keep clicking the start swith till my 56 Chevy started or smoke came off the wiring. apiziwcgk__62027.1560395839.jpg

Fuel system vapor lock? Would have to be really hot out. We used to put aluminum foil on the fuel line. Or run line thru an ice box when drag racing. Check fuel line pressure?
