Hello everyone, another newbie owner here. Just bought a new 2014 Premium, Ice Silver Met. Pretty much the base model with a 5 speed.
Planning on buying a Class C motorhome in the next few months and wanted a good veh to flat tow.
Our first small Subie, but have owned 4 Outbacks over the last 15 years, including my wife's current 2010 Outback Premium.
Be using it as my daily driver, so obviously I will have to start modding it to fit me.
I'll pick it up tomorrow (its comming from another dealer) and post a pic.
I'll be lurking!!!

Greetings Grumpaw! Always 'grand' to welcome another 5 speeder to the fold! So are the 2014s out or is that a typo? We definitely would love to see pics of your XV in tow. I predict it will become very popular for that particular usage. Again, welcome- Enjoy 8)

A thousand apoligies---it's a 2013. I had 2014 on the brain as we originally went to look at a 2014 Forrester. That little thing grew up from the earlier models, and I haden't realized how much.
Took one drive in the XV and we were sold.

Welcome to the site, Grumpaw, and congratulations on the Crosstrek! You said you wanted to start modding it to "fit" you -- do you have any idea what you want to do to it? I am sure you are excited to get it and we can't wait to see pics.

Thanks for joining the site!

Don't have a motorhome yet, but that's going to happen by the end of the year. I keep my wife's Outback garaged and in pristeen cond, so this one's gonna be our everything go for veh., replacing a 2011 Dodge Grand Caravan. And I have a 2007 Mustang GT Conv. in the garage thats my retirement toy. Also takes care of the "modding bug" when it bites.
Def a set of Weather Tech floor covers, probably a set of Wet Okole seat covers, dash mat, hidden trailer hitch and wireing, Sirus or XM add on, some pin striping. Also the hardware for a towing kit.
I had a 2005 Outback XT a few years ago, and there was a ton of aftermarket stuff for it. But with the Crosstrek I realize there's not much out there. ( wouldn't putting a turbo on it be a real kick).
Just going to try to find products that will add some kind of protection while towing it.
Going to pick it up this afternoon. Don't even have it yet and already I'm spending money on it!!!!
Are we guy's crazy or what????

Picked it up last nite. Didn't even drive off the lot before I got the first add-on. Front bug deflector that I was able to get for free (this is the third Subi we've bought from this dealer, so they do treat us right).
Great little mini SUV, glad I got it
