[/img]This was my Xv's first time off of the 405/5 freeways. I went to Anza Borrego State Park and toured offroad in Sandstone Canyon. You take hwy 78 to Split Mountain road. From there its about 10.5 miles South past the end of Split Mountain Road. Follow South along Fish Creek and you run into the huge canyon walls in your little car. I only took a few photos and a couple tiny clips from my cellphone (the quality is actually decent). The whole trip out there I saw 3 Jeep Wranglers, and 1 Landrover. The Crosstrek did great and I was very surprised on how it did. I only aired down the tires to 24 PSI and it just made it a little more comfortable inside the cabin. Speaking of which, the suspension did so well inside passengers did not bobble around as much as in my Xterra. We also did the little Wind Caves hike which was fun to see. Sorry for the links looking messy photobucket and the IMG add button were not working on this computer. Ill try again but you can still see a few photos.

For images I upload to Flickr (or you could use http://imgur.com/) then copy and paste the image URL and use the image link in editor above (under bold) to make embedded.

Nice job. Your pics have to be hosted on another website (I use Photobucket) and then you insert the direct link between the brackets in the INSERT IMAGE tool. I wouldn't have understood either except I'm on a couple of motorcycle forums that do it the same way.

In Photobucket, once you upload your photos and have an album, click on Image Links on the right of the page, then left click (yes, left click) the Direct Link url. It will copy the url and you can then paste that into the Insert Image brackets here on the forum so your image is embedded in your post. Voila.

Wow, that looks like my kind of ride, not too intense but still off the highway and beautiful scenery! Good to know the Crosstrek did well.

That's a very pretty area. We were staged at Ocotillo over New Years and rode the bikes down there, and up Fish Creek Wash. Probably the most scenic place in the area. Good offroad terrain for the Crosstrek.

How is it that anyone is able to go have fun in a place like that, and have their XV still be THAT clean?????

I've had mine for about three months now, it has 5k miles on it, and it has only been That Clean two days in its life: the day we bought it (they peeled the stickers off so we could test drive it), and they day we took it in to be sealed.

Check the load ratings. Bet you'll find they were much better suited to the weight of your X. The 'trek is a lightweight - you put a heavy duty tire on it like the BGB AT's it's gonna drive like poo-poo. Get a money-back guarantee so if you hate them you can get something more appropriate installed. Or you can peddle them on craigs.

I ran them on my Duramax too. They were noisy and hard riding on it as well - a 6K lb truck.

They do last for freakin' ever though, huh?
