I am looking at getting a block heater installed in my Crosstrek. Normally I dont park in my garage (Wife's car, Daugther's Car, Camper and Bike leaves no room for my car). Has anyone had this option installed and if so, are you happy with it?

Thank you

Didn't have the block heater but my 2008 Outback Sport had remote start and that was actually a great function to have, even if never got cold enough to actually make a difference. San Jose, CA doesn't really get that cold.

I also had to park on the street and the big before I parked it I would crank my heat setting up so when walking to my car in the morning I would activate the remote start so e heater would be somewhat warm when I got to my car.

i saw this as an option at the dealer. any insight into an aftermarket install? I imagine like other block heaters it replaced a freeze plug somewhere which must require some antifreeze play. I wouldn't mind having one too.
