This morning I called my husband, he was on I-75 headed down to Atlanta. He's driving the subaru and I'm in my jeep. Well, as I'm talking to him, he's using the phone system in the Subaru. I'm not using a in-vehicle phone system, I have my phone a speaker. All I'm hearing is beeps and then sounds like other transmissions are trying to break into our conversation. I ask him, does he hear the beeps? He doesn't. It's only on my end.

Any idea that would have caused this? I know back in the day I used to have issues with my cell phone making these noises, but technology has improved tremendously since then.

It could just be the usual RF interference with speakers. I don't get it much these days, but once in a while it does happen on household speakers.
