Break Pada and Rotors

Hi,
I would appreciate if someone can help me with the best brand for Subaru Crosstrek 2019 rotors and break pads. I do not want the oem as they are expensive.

Personally, I see nothing wrong with OEM though...but have used Frozen Rotors on my F-250, 350, and Titan.
How expensive are we talking? I paid more than OEM for the brakes I got for my '16 Crosstrek.

I am a big fan of powerstop higher end sets. Just ordered brakes, rotors, hardware for all 4 corners on my 2014. Not a terrible price from rockauto

How does a 2019 have bad pads already? My OEM fronts had well over 100,000 miles and still had life. Rears lasted into the 40's.

Cheap will be that, cheap. I wouold rather spend a little more and do it once than have to do the job several times due to crappy parts. OEM or Akebono are the best for the money spent.
I was going to ask that question. I just picked up a 2019 and it needs rear pads. The dealer said it was normal? I just picked up a set of Bosch pads for the rear.

Yep, rears go faster on 'newer' (2010+?) Subies due to system set up. More force by the rears keeps the nose from diving as hard. Stops have a more controlled, comfortable feel for most people.

Three years does seem early, though.
Unless your rotors are scored they probably do not need to be replaced.

I think the former is also very expensive.
Powerstop, Wagner, Bosch, or Akebono are all good. I have used all of them.
If you aren't familiar with doing brakes I would suggest finding a good teacher. There are brake jobs and their are brake jobs. Proper cleaning and lubing of parts like spring hardware and caliper pins are often overlooked by many. It's the attention to detail. Brakes, tires, and suspension components I don't believe in shortcutting. Just my .02
