As a mountain biker and triathlete, I get very sweaty and wanted to protect my seats. Neoprene covers are expensive and look like crap IMHO. So I got a few black bath towels and some eyelets and some elastic compression cords and I came up with a temporary seat cover.

Just picked up a set of elastic cords from the dollar store. Certainly wouldnt use them for anything real, but I feel comfortable in their ability to hold a towel up after kayaking or being caught in the rain.

Another option for that type of seat covers is tarp clamps from your local hardware or outdoor store or even walmart  If you dont want to use the eyelets pictured.

ya they work great. I spread them out a little further apart than your pic.. and then double loop the bungee.. and they work great.

so for a pair of seat covers..

4 tarp clips $8.00
4 10" mini bungee cords $4.00
2 towels black from wallymart $ 10.00
Total $22.00

not bad until my sheepskin ones come in... 8)
