Hello - I'm about to join the Crosstrek family but have never bought a new car before. There are quite a few Subaru dealers in CO and I'm wondering if anyone might have some suggestions or experience with good dealerships to check out in the Front Range?

Thanks and can't wait to be an owner soon! Been reading through tons of posts on here for two months or so, great stuff.

Heuberger Motors is REALLY big on the various Subaru online forums, and I've heard mostly positive feedback on their customer service.

Got mine from Heuberger.
Did the internet quote and got the cheapest price around even from Denver.
Once they realized I was not financing anything the sales people were very nice.
My sales person Wendy stayed after her shift, she canceled previous plans, and stayed until the end. The paperwork took a while because they only had two people. She offered to order food for us from a nearby restaurant or anything else we wanted. She also offered to go over the owners manual with me and answer any questions about the car.
I don't like dealerships, and salespeople even less.
She got the vibe and got me out of there asasp.
Next week will be my first service visit to the dealership...we'll see how that goes.

Got mine from Shortline. Great service for me. Already have had it in a couple times for basic stuff, and they've been SUPER accommodating. Pricing was better than my USAA financing.

Hueberger and Shortline are both great places. Haven't heard much bad from either.

Heuberger will tell you that the internet pricing they advertise is about as low as they will go. I was told "We would never get people in the door, if we didn't advertise our lowest prices". We did negotiate a little lower after showing them the internet price and got two small options added.

Their parts department does the exact same thing.

I really don't think a person could go wrong with Hueberger or Shortline. Both do a huge volume of sales. I went with Shortline since it was 2 miles from my house, and well... Hueberger is in CO Springs, lol. I'm a huge fan of the Subaru Adventure Team that Hueberger has. My work has me deal with them a lot (SAT in the outdoors world), and I have never had a bad experience with them.

Anyone should be able to get a car at dealer invoice if they order one new from the factory. The dealer will still make money with their 2% holdback. Of course the disadvantage of this is waiting 6-8 weeks for the car to come in. It's a good option if you're willing to wait IMO.

If you need, or want, one right now be prepared to pay a little more. The high volume dealers tend to give the better deals, as they get bonuses from the factory for total units sold.
