I've got one of the first XV's made (Jan '13). 108K and still runs good. SOA extended the trans warranty to 100k probably for a good reason. I've never abused it (full stop when shifting, very few full throttle runs, easy 'till it's warm). Changed the fluid @ 100k. So far so good.

I was wondering what's the expected life on this? Who's got the highest mileage? As the car depreciates, a new trans will soon cost more than it's worth. At what point do I not set the parking brake & let it "accidentally" roll off a cliff (with full coverage, of course)?

I have 145,000 plus miles on my 2014 no issues. If i were to have any I would look for a used replacement, a quick look at car-part.com shows me I should be able to find a used replacement with <20,000 miles for $700 to a $1000 and do my own install.

Last time I looked most of the trannys were high mileage. I do all of my own work too but certainly not something I'd look forward to. I'd like to get at least another 100K out of it.
