So on my daily commute, I go down a big S-curved hill with a portion that is pretty steep. The engine turns on while breaking at about the same spot every time and then it stays on for the remaining 2 miles until I've stopped moving for a few minutes at the bottom of the hill. From what I understand, the engine turns on to assist with braking, which is fine, but it's kind of annoying that it stays on for the remaining decent which is fairly even grade.
I'm wondering if anyone has experienced this issue or has any ideas on how to switch EV mode back on.

Alright, well I think I figured it out. Apparently I was pressing down on the break too long. So, to prevent the engine from coming on I release the break every 5 seconds or so going down hill.
