Don’t you have to use the APP to start remotely? I could be mistaken for a 2014.

 

There are two types of remote start systems. Older, and still available, are dealer installed factory authorized remote start with two key fobs. This is most likely the one pubsafetman has. This one has a limited range (450 feet?). The app remote start is the second one requiring a subscription to MySubaru. This app can remote start from anywhere as long as phone and vehicle are in cell tower range.

 

Check for a blown fuse from wiring diagrams. Hopefully it isn't a faulty remote start control module that can be replaced.

Very helpful (golf clap). Actually it's my daughter's first car and I want everything to work , especially when she will be going to school or leaving work and it gets cold here in New England and snowy. If the radio didn't work would you fix it when you can just sing to yourself?

 

I've heard there is a service mode, that can prevent accidental remote start
