hi, ive the 2016 crosstrek,
did 3 oil changes in the first 9000 miles (where im at now) 2 were at the dealer, the last one was at the local trusted garage, and ill change every 3000 miles or so

my question is: what other maintenance or service needs to be done at approx this mileage?
do i NEED to take it to subaru for the 10k mile checkup or anything, or anything specific they need to see as far as engine performance, computrer codes, etc..?
thanks club crosstrek

At that mileage, perhaps getting the engine air cleaner inspected would be a good idea.

Thanks, wehn i take it in for the 12k oil/filter/lube, ill ask them to check that

also,
ive noticed that the oil drain plug/screw, is ALREADY stripped and almost rounded, after only 3 oil changes at subaru in year 1. i noticed it when i did the 9k oil change at the local trusted garage, he showed me the oil drain plug was almost rounded already! is this normal? can i get a stronger, more solid drain plug anywhere.

I also noticed I was getting a rounded drain plug early on with my vehicle.

That can be solved with a Fumoto drain valve. No more stripping oil pan threads or rounding plugs, just open, drain, then close. However, it may take longer since the valve orfice is smaller than outright opening the plug.
