Took my baby in to have a few mods done to her. Added the moon roof wind deflector and wheel locks. Plus, went ahead and had her first oil change and alignment done. So...While I was at it, went ahead and had the speakers, tweeters and subwoofer upgraded.

Holy moly what a difference! Even the guys at the dealership were amazed (first ones they've ever put in an XV). I will say, while the stock sets aren't really all that bad, the clarity on the Subie upgrades is 110% better! Sure... They aren't Harmon Kardins or Klepsch. But for the price, I am very pleased with them. I was not familiar with the Kicker brand (who makes these sets for Subie), I was pleasantly surprised with the quality. Treble and midtones are much more crisp and the bass... Whoa! It definitely bumps and eliminates the distortion the stock one had. My mirrors were shaking and jiggling like crazy. Hahahaha.

Ok, ok... So it probably looks funny as heck seeing a granny cruise down the road with sound bumping. But, we all know how I love my music and well... YOLO, right?

Sorry.. No pics yet. Was dark out when I got home. Will post some tomorrow. :)

Kicker make very good speakers. I had a set in my Colt and it definitely delivered.

I wonder if the speakers that come with the upgraded radio in Europe are Kickers or just a better class of generics.

I'll be honest avimia, I had to read your thread title like 4 times before I figured out the type of "Bumping" you were engaging in!

LOL :)

That's a ton of mods. I have been a member of more than few forums and read thousands of posts and you, by far are the most modding chick I have ever had the pleasure of reading.

Still waiting on pictures of you "Bumpin"!
Hahahaaha!!! Wingnut... Ohhh no. I may be old, but I'm not senile (yet). Not catching me posting pics of myself bumping to my tunes.

Here's a pic of the Subwoofer (since you can't see the new tweeters and mids anyway).

UPDATE: So, now that I have this subwoofer in, I think I'll swap it out and put Kicker's new "Hideaway" in there instead. I checked with Kicker and it will fit in the Crosstrek. So, working on that (and convincing the hubby that he can have my current woofer and I get the new hideaway). hehehehe.

LOL Ikon! I'll take that as a compliment. So thank you for the kind words! :)
Still working on the 2 biggest mod, but keeping them a secret until I can get it completed. One was shipped today! YAY!!! ;-)

Oh... now that we're on the subject, here are the things I mentioned... along with a few other mods recently done that I didn't mention yet.

1.) Custom lettering sticker on hood wind guard (thank you Xtrekr and ScoobyXV inspiration). Already have it on the back window too.
2.) Wheel locks
3.) Kicker Sub
4.) Door Edge Guards (in clear) and STI Carbon Fiber 3D Edge Bumpers
5.) Cargo bay sill protector (brushed aluminum)
6.) Chrome fog light and rear light trim added (only have the pic of the rears showing right now)
7. and 8.) Solid chrome Subie emblem I added last night.

Oh and finished her wash (including her under belly), wax, black trim treated, tires treated, and interior leather cleaned and treated.
Whew.. glad it was a long weekend!

Hey Xtrekr! Thank you kindly! Yep... I admit my mods are inspired by you, albeit ScoobyXV. I loved the post that there's 3 of us matching within 14,000 miles of each other. Kinda shows how the XV is so viral. Hehehe. Between you two guys, I think mine falls in between. Where Scoob likes chrome on the white like me, you definitely bring the sporty off-road flavor.

I got two more big mods to do, then ill take her for a spin and get some pics over all. Wouldnt it be cool if the "triplettes" could get 3 photos together!

Hi neighbor Ikon! Ya melted on to the pavement yet? And to think, it's not even hot yet. Ha!

Found my tail chrome on ebay. It's not a custom piece, as they have them for other cars too. But, I love how different it is, and that it's solid metal and not plastic stuff. So, I snagged one up. The hubby dislikes the vinyl lettering on the car. But, once I installed it, he really liked it since it's not something you typical see on a Subie.

Here's the link to the one I bought. I think they only have them in limited quantities. But you could probably email the guy and ask him for one.

Cool. I will check it out. I am in the process of melting. Looking for a good remote start for the XV so I can cool the car down before I get in.

I think that is the best way to go as to avoid any warranty issues
