Hello fellow trek owners. Nice to have found this forum.
So.. Just bought my first Subie and it happens to be a Crosstrek. Yep... Saw it. Drove it. Loved it. Bought it.
Though I kept my 4WD Tacoma, I traded my Liberty (after I found out they quit making them) and I think I got a good deal off sticker. Got to the dealership and he only had 2 on the lot. One was exactly as I spec'd out on the web site.. Satin White Pearl, Limited... all the bells and whistles, including nav system with backup cam (which daughter lovingly calls the "granny cam"). LOL!
I read reviews and found most of those car mag reviews are full of beans when they say the car has no power. It is plenty zippy for me when I need to bolt on to the highway in rush hour traffic. Been driving it 4 days now and haven't seen another one on the road here yet! And, I have to admit.. it's been rather fun watching people point at it. I can just hear them saying.. "whoa..what's that?!" hahahaa.
So far have loved it and actually enjoy driving again.
So far, love the trek. Though I'm still getting used to sitting so low to the ground, I do like the better clearance and the great gas mileage goes without saying.
