Greetings all...I've had my Crosstrek since a couple of days before Christmas '12.
I've been an active member on the XV Forum but just discovered clubCROSSTREK
today by accident. Hoping to learn and share even more here! Happy Treking!

Hey Rose! Thanks for the greeting. I've seen you over on SubaruXV.com, yes?

Welcome, Section! I see you have the Tangerine. I have to admit, the color is way more popular than I thought it would be, but I love it now. Any plans on modifications for the Trek or are you sticking to mostly stock? Any pics of the ride?

Thank you for signing up!

Yes - you have - I'm hooked on both forums! But, don't tell - I'm a little partial to these guys.
Your secret is out, but we don't mind one bit ;).

My mods are almost exclusively aesthetic.

Factory "mods": Pop. Pkg. II / Sport mesh grill / Kicker speakers & tweeters / Crossbars

My "mods": 35% Madco tint driver & passenger windows (matching factory tint all around) / Hoen Xenonmatch hi & low beams / CREE LED fog lamps / LED interior & rear license lamps / LED rear turns /
Charcoal tint overlays rear lenses (clear area) / Yellow overlays fog lenses / "AWD" badge removal replaced by Subaru Badge Of Ownership / Yakima Y2103 bike racks / HuskyLiner front & rear mats

Thinking of these Wet Okoles for the fronts (color looks odd in the pic, but I got a swatch & their color "91" matches Tangerine perfectly:

And this badge for the front mesh grill:

Hey Section,

Welcome. Where did you get that custom subie emblem for the mesh grill? Do they have an assortment of colors?

TIA,

Brian

Hey Bri;

I haven't pulled the trigger quite yet as I need to do a search around here
to see if there's a DIY on front badge swap-outs. I hope I can make it
happen...I think the orange badge would look really unique (as if the
Tangerine paint itself isn't unique enough!)

For some reason I'm prevented from posting the URL here (must be a
newbie-must-pay-his-dues-thing), so I PM'ed it to you. It's a guy out of
the UK and he has a LOT of badges...and other goodies!

Hope you find something 8)

I REALLY like those taillight overlays, where did you get them?

Also, you should be able to post links now, I believe the threshold is just your first three posts. It's a spam-prevention more so than making new users pay their dues or anything.

Well, I'm still getting the " Sorry, you are not allowed to post external links" message,
so I'm not sure what's happening there...if you can lift me out of link purgatory, that
would be wonderful!

But my pal Rose has the ebay link I used covered in the post above.

It took a while before I could post a link as well - keep posting you'll get there.

Yeah, I was mistaken, it is a 5 post threshold so you should be good now. However, I just bumped it down to three as most spammers won't make it past 1 post before I throw my banhammer at them.

Hey thanks a lot, AWD!

That's seemed to me to be the only logical place for the badge 8)

Sorry Section 147, been busy and missed welcoming you to the forum, soooo WELCOME! And I'm guessing I have a new Browns brother on the site?! Hell yea! Go Browns! Oh, please, just once, in my lifetime- SB TITLE! A dawg face would look mighty fine on that orange no?!

Back to cars, love the mods! I've been putting orange accents on my black here and there...gotta get that orange Subie badge. Looks great 8)

Hey RubySu...thanks for the shout. You a C-Town transplant down there in SC or just part
of the Browns Backers planet? Yeah...season tickets forever. Nothing but bleakness lately
but ya gotta hang in! Nothing worse than a frontrunner. Loyalty counts!
Thanks for the compliments on the Subie. As far as the "Dawg", not a fan. That was an 80's
thing (Dixon, Minnifield, et al) and should just die already. But you can bet the giant Brownie
Elf magnet will be on the driver's door on the way to all of the home games!!!

Grew up in Youngstown. Life long fan- turn 48 yrs old next week....So ive lived/died with them for decades now. Impossible to be a frontrunner with the Browns as theyve rarely been in front long enough to have bandwagoners jump on no?! I'm still good with the dawg of the 80s. Also Good with Brownie the Elf which of course is older than dirt itself. I make the trip for a game at least once a year....still have family/friends in the area. I worked at WKNR for some time and still enjoy catching up with the boys there. Maybe I'll see you up there one of these times. You know the fans are going to love seeing that car roll through! 8)
