I put all my music on a 128G thumb drive that I have plugged into the USB port in the car. The problem however is that when I choose to listen to an album, the songs all come up in alphabetical order rather than by track number. It is really annoying, especially when you want to listen to a concept album and the tracks need to be in order.
Any idea how to make the media player list the songs by track number rather than alphabetical?

Yeah, pretty sure its just a formatting issue.

It can be a pain.

What do you mean by formatting issue? All the songs have a track number listed with them. short of going thru all 128 gigs of music and making the track number part of the track name itself (which would take me days) what else can I try/do?

****UPDATE****
I finally figured out a way to get my tracks to play in album order. Its a bit of a pain in the ass but it works.

1) copy your music to your media device, whatever it may be, in my case its a 128G thumb drive plugged into the USB port in the center console
2) right click on the track then click properties
3) click on "Details" tab

4) you need to change 2 things on this page. First add 101 to the "Title" field with no spaces. Second change "#" field to 101. Click Okay
5) continue to do this with each track ie: track 2 102 etc. You dont need to change anything on the "General" tab

See attached screenshot

a large library is exactly what I have....close to 128 gigs of music, maybe 10000+ tracks in all. I think I will just make note of which albums I want to hear in order as they come up on shuffle and fix those. Anything new added to the drive will get the treatment as well...so annoying that they did this.
