Greetings All,

Hi from Florida.

We are new to Subaru and our new 2019 Crosstrek in Cool Gray Khaki. We have only had it a few days and are just getting the hang of the electronics of it.

We have searched the web and this forum to answer all but one question we have and are hoping an experienced owner can assist us.

When we start the engine after about 5 seconds we hear 3 beeps. What is that telling us?

Thanks,
MPKaier

Sounds strange...It's hard to know from that description.

I recommend you go back to your dealership for your Love Encore Delivery (If your dealership participates in the program, which most do at this point). They'll have a Delivery Specialist who can help you with that and any other questions and they'll also give you a free gas card for doing it.

Thank you. We are on the schedule for the encore training about 15 days from now. That will be the first question on our list.

Never heard 3 beeps, but do you have Eye-sight?

In Canada it's not standard on the 'Trek yet, so mine doesn't have it. My Outback does, but I still don't hear it.

Any messages displayed when you do hear it?

Thanks everyone for your replies. I actually emailed Subaru and got an answer to the 3 chimes (or 3 quit beeps). According to Subaru Customer Support the 3 chimes indicates that the car is system checked and ready to go. That detail appears to be missing from them manual. Our Crosstrek has eyesight so perhaps cars without eyesight don’t make the 3 chimes.
