I've tried searching the manual and the forum but I haven't been successful. Does anyone know how to turn off the safety feature that prohibits typing on the navigation while the car is in motion? Is it even a possibility?

I know it is a possibility, and Im sure someone here knows how to do it. I believe I saw somewhere on the internet about a wire that can be snipped while the car is in D? But Im not positive.

I'm kidding. I'll have to do a more extesive serach. The words I'm chosing must not be the magic words.

You would have to mess with the wiring to trick the unit into thinking it was in either park (CVT) or neutral (for a manual) all the time. Keep in mind that other parts rely on those inputs as well like the starter relay so messing with that circuit could cause some issues.

That explains the orange. You aren't missing anything anyway. Life is confusing with too many colors.
