I heard a noise that sounded like I was riding on snow tires. I had the original tires on the car at 70k miles, which is what the tires are rated for (I drive a 2013 XV Crosstrek). Therefore, I purchased 4 new tires (same exact brand as original) and am getting the same sound. I don't hear it below 35 mph, however, it gets louder as I pass 40mph and keeps getting louder at all higher speeds. I also hear this noise when not accelerating, but over 40mpg. Again, sounds like I am riding on snow tires when I am not (I checked tire pressure of the new tires and seems fine at 35 psi). I also recently passed the 100 point inspection that dealers do. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Sounds like a driveline-related issue.

Do you have a CVT or a manual transmission?
