Mine has the CVT. I miss my 2018, it was a great car. That being said, the power difference is noticeable. The 2.0, CVT as well, felt very weak from a standing start. None of that with the 2.5. I've only had it for about a day, so, not much of an opportunity to drive it. With a hurt neck and back from the accident, I'm taking all things slow.
I feel like the Crosstrek held up very well. It did it's job keeping me protected. When I think of safety, that's what I consider. Just my opinion. I was hit on the driver's side, the majority of the impact took place to the space just in front of and the driver's door. The passenger compartment stayed intact. From what I was told, the biggest reason that it was a total loss was because of the damage to the front suspension.
