Hello!

We used the SuperJoe Pro 3 on my husband's old Forester. It did not have the spoiler thing on the back, so it worked well. We've since upgraded cars - both with the spoiler thing on the back with the brake light. Anybody know if the SuperJoe Pro 3 can work with our new cars?

We now have the 2018 Outback and a 2018 Crosstrek. Of course, Yakima no longer makes this bike rack, so there are no updated documents with fit plans for our newer vehicles.

I'm worried the weight of the bikes will put too much pressure on the spoilers damaging it and the rear brake light... $$$$$ in damages.

Thoughts? Ideas? Suggestions?

i found a fit list it listed Crosstrek from '13-'15 only with a bunch of notes.
here is the link: https://www.rackattack.com/bike-racks/trunk-mount-bike-racks/yakima-super-joe-pro-3/

I would note recommend mounting with a spoiler.
on Crosstrek I went with a trailer hitch.
I went with a curt C13382 on my '19 Crosstrek.I like this one because it tucks up under the bumper

here is a link for your '18: https://www.etrailer.com/hitch-2018_Subaru_Crosstrek.htm
Yeah, the more I think about it, the less I like the idea of mounting it on either of our new cars.

Will look into the trailer hitch options.

Thank you for the suggestion.
